Veduta Series

This photographic series of prints is dedicated to the views of Lake Como taken with an artistic and creative intent.
Each image is post-produced according to the finest photomanipulation techniques with the intention of creating evocative and creative images not always corresponding to reality; Canaletto is one of the masters who inspired me in this, if you know how he worked, I do the same.

I live on Lake Como, my top-level know-how about the lake allows me to manage everything in the best way, distinguishing between what is true to the spirit of the place and what should be avoided because it betrays it.
The starting image is always a photography representing a real subject (I mean: it's not coming from an artificial intelligence) but the photo manipulation sometimes adds artistical elements that do not necessarily correspond to reality (again, just as Canaletto did with his vedute).

Concerning materials, this Series is printed using the technique of foam printing, also known as foam board printing or foam core printing.
Foam board is a lightweight and rigid material made of a polystyrene foam core sandwiched between layers of paper or plastic. It provides a smooth and flat surface ideal for printing vibrant and high-resolution images. Foam prints are popular for their versatility, affordability, and ease of display.
